Ryleys pupils shine in Entrance Exams

Y6-&-8-Leavers-2

The Ryleys School is celebrating the outstanding success of its Year 6 and Year 8 pupils in achieving places at some of the area's leading Independent Grammar Schools.

In the recent entrance examinations the twenty three Year 6 pupils received a grand total of sixty four offers between them. All children obtained a place at their first choice school, including 10 out of the 11 pupils who sat the exam for Manchester Grammar School.

In addition, two pupils received offers of Scholarships; George Rushton received an Academic Scholarship from Kings School which is awarded to the top performer in the exams, and Jamie Wilson received an incredible 3 Music Scholarship offers from Cheadle Hulme, Kings and Stockport Grammar School.

Like their younger counterparts, the Year 8 pupils have also achieved places at their chosen secondary schools and will be taking up their places this September.

Headmaster Pat Barrett said "We are all very proud of our pupils and their exceptional Entrance Exam results. The children have all worked very hard and their achievements are a testament to the teaching staff at The Ryleys and their commitment to the success of each and every child."
