School cake sale was a roaring success

Cake Sale 001

Pupils at Alderley Edge Community Primary School certainly love their cakes.

A recent cake sale, held in the school playground proved a great success - with over 450 cakes, cookies and biscuits selling out within 30 minutes!

Sales of the cakes and biscuits, some of which were baked at school by the children whilst others were baked by Year 1 parents, raised £92.

Proceeds will be split evenly between the PTA and the World Wildlife Fund, a charity which has been chosen by the Year 1 pupils.

This was the first of many cake sales which the school plans to hold throughout the year.
