Children at Alderley Edge Community Primary School have raised nearly £600 for Francis House Children's Hospice.

Headteacher Mr Chris Perry and the children were delighted to hand four buckets of money to Kate Puc from Francis House at a recent celebration assembly.

The money was collected at various school events over the Christmas period. These including performances by musicians and choristers at the Marks and Spencer and Tesco stores at Handforth Dean and two Christmas performances in St. Philip and St. James Church.

Mr Chris Perry said "Francis House is the charity that year on year the children want to support through fundraising at Christmas time. It is testament to the children and their families that nearly £600 was raised by the children simply giving their time to make a difference to children less fortunate than themselves. I would like to offer my sincere thanks to everyone who ensured that this happened."
