Runway launch creates a buzz

A new ladies clothing store opened in Alderley Edge yesterday, in the building previously occupied by Fitted Interiors, and celebrated its arrival in the village with a launch party last night.

The Runway launch was a very popular event with celebrity DJ Dane Bowers on the decks and couture models showcasing the latest lines Runway has to offer. Guests were also treated to make-overs by top stylists, Andrew Barn and Elliot Kilner from Barn//it at Harvey Nichols, and Mac make-up artists.

Owners Sharon and Peter Cleasby have been in the fashion industry for over 15 years and have another Runway boutique in Knutsford. Sharon is extremely creative, she's a stylist and designer, as well as a fashion show choreographer and they have adapted Sharon's style for their Runway stores.

Sharon Cleasby said "We have been in Knutsford so long and noticed how Alderley Edge is missing Runway's vision, especially now that Alderley Edge has evolved to have such a strong food and drink culture, it will be great to give the village the Runway sparkle."

The champagne flowed all evening and the delicious canapes made by Gusto all added to the buzz surrounding Runway, which saw well over a hundred ladies grace the red carpet to help celebrate their launch into the village.
