Cricket Club to host Christmas Market

christmas

I am delighted to report that Alderley Edge is going to have a Christmas Fair and Market this year, which is being held on Sunday 12th December at the Alderley Edge Cricket Club.

The event will run from 11.00am to 5.30pm and include a torch lit carol service involving 3 of the local schools.

Organiser Emma Bolton, who owns The Lavender Tree, said "We are going to ask all the children that attend the event to bring along a torch for the carols to create a magical atmosphere."

Entertainment will include a fair ground, Santa's Grotto, hog roast, gluvine and a raffle will be held to raise money for East Cheshire Hospice.

Talking about the plans Emma said "The aim is to create a Christmas Market feel involving all of the community. There will be stall holders selling Christmas trees, turkeys, cakes, and delicious Christmas goodies, as well as gorgeous gifts, clothing and jewellery."

Emma Bolton has successfully organised the Village Fete for the past two years so I am sure this is going to be another fantastic family event. Put the date in your diary and we will keep you informed as plans for the Alderley Edge Christmas Fair and Market develop.

Emma Bolton has updated me with the latest information about Sunday's Christmas Fair and Market where there will be 45 stalls selling all sorts of festive foods and gifts.

Emma said "We are really excited about the event, it should be a fantastic day for all of the family.

"We are asking all of the children who attend to bring torches with them for the Carol Service and weather permitting we are going to release Chinese lanterns at the end of the service which will be really magical.

"We have also made a Dads chill out area with sofas, TV, papers and beer!!"
