The Alderley Edge Remembrance Day parade and service will take place on Sunday November 14th. Organised by the Alderley Edge British Legion the parade will assemble outside the Festival Hall at 2.15pm and depart at 2.30pm.

The parade, including British Legion members, scouts, cubs, beavers, guides, brownies, rainbows, WRVS, St. Pius Church, Alderley Edge Methodist Church, St. Mary's Nether Alderley Church and St. Philip and St. James Church as well as councillors, police and other local officials, will march along Moss Lane, Trafford Road and Chapel Road before proceeding down London Road to the war memorial on Ryleys Lane.

Following prayers and the wreath laying ceremony at the war memorial, a Service of Remembrance and an address will take place at St. Philip and St. James church at 3pm. This year, because it is too far to march to Nether Alderley, Rector Revd James Milnes of St. Mary's is leading the service in St. Philip and St. James accompanied by joint choirs of St. Mary's and St. Philip and St. James church.

A 2 minutes silence will be held outside Barclays Bank on Saturday 13th at 11.00am.
