Temporary 2-way traffic signals will be in operation on the A535 Chelford Road, near Old Chorley Hall, from Monday October 4th. These will be in place for approximately 2 weeks to enable the re-construction of the culvert parapets in connection with the revised road layout for the Alderley Edge Bypass.
A spokeswoman from Cheshire East explained "The work will be carried out where the road crosses a small water course and the sides have to be raised to the level of the new road surface."
This work will take place near the end of the 30mph speed limit for Alderley Edge.
