Alderley Edge School for Girls is opening its doors and is inviting parents and pupils to experience life in the Prep School during its Prep School Open Week, 6 – 10 November 2023.
During Prep School Open Week, our doors will be wide open and ready to welcome new families into our vibrant atmosphere where girls benefit from an inspirational and stimulating learning environment. Families will discover our state-of-the-art facilities, meet our dedicated staff who are passionate about nurturing young talents, and observe stimulating lessons that will ignite your daughter's imagination and passion for learning.
Each Open Week tour is conducted by AESG Deputy Head (Prep) Mr Marchington. Mr Marchington leads the Prep School with the philosophy that all girls are capable of achieving excellence. He says: "We set ambitious goals for the girls and provide them with the tools and guidance to support them in achieving both academic excellence and personal growth.
"Girls leave AESG Prep School brimming with confidence and the self-assurance that they are ready for Senior School. Pupils in our Prep School include talented and competitive sportswomen, ambitious academics, musicians and passionate artists and performers who embrace every opportunity that comes their way. They inspire their younger peers to achieve their full potential and fulfil the School's motto in aspiring to 'Be More' in all that they do.
AESG Prep School provides many lessons taught specialist Senior School teachers including Drama, Music, MFL, Computing and Science with Sport being taught by its dedicated Prep Sports Teacher. Families will discover our extensive #BeMore Enrichment Programme with its diverse and exciting clubs such as Dragon's Den, Puzzling Maths, Creative Animation, Gymnastics, Digital Coding and Songwriting.
As well as seeing our exciting and challenging lessons, there will be the opportunity to discuss your daughter's personal and educational journey with staff. Assistant Head (Pastoral) Miss Scott will also be available to discuss pastoral initiatives including our 'Girls On Board' programme and PHSE.
This year, we have launched our outdoor learning curriculum and we are working towards our Forest School Accreditation.
