Police are urging residents to be aware of people following them into entrances of shared accommodation after two men gained access to a flat on Lynton Lane at the weekend.
A police spokesperson said "At 8.33am on Sunday 2 May police were called to reports of a burglary at Lynton Court, Lynton Lane in Alderley Edge.
"The caller reported that at 2.30pm on Saturday 1 May two unknown men had entered the property and and searched through their possessions. No items were stolen."
Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 978163.
