Reader's Photos: Appreciating our surroundings

We have kindly been sent these photos by our readers taken whilst they have been appreciating the outdoors and the lovely weather we've been enjoying.

Suzanne Ryder sent some gorgeous photographs of Rossmere lake, David Burdell took a photo from Chapel Lane of the sunset and Brian Smith sent us photos of fox cubs taken in his garden earlier this week.

Brian said "Nature continues despite these current uncertain times and the fox cubs have appeared again this year in our garden with their protective mother never far away."

Ronald Walker sent a photo of a bird he spotted in his garden in Alderley Edge, he said "A Google search suggests he's a California Quail and not native or migratory to UK. May have escaped from a collectors aviary?"

Phil Hopkins also sent a photo of an unusual bird taken a couple days ago in his Wilmslow garden in Wilmslow.

He said "I believe it is a Ring Neck Parakeet, I also understand there are quite large numbers of them in the South East, but not often seen further up North. I was wondering if anyone else has seen them?"

If you would like your photos of Alderley Edge and the surrounding area to be considered for publication on alderleyedge.com then please email them to [email protected].
