Volunteers grabbed their litter picks to take part in the Great British Spring Clean this weekend, removing 29 bags of rubbish from the village.
Starting on Friday, 3rd March, eleven volunteers focussed on the Waitrose car park, the embankment and London Road where they collected 17 bags of rubbish.
They continued on Saturday filling 12 bags of litter but unfortunately they were rained of on Sunday so they will be rescheduling this jobs to another day.
Christine Munro said "I think we have made a difference to the village, park and streets around. Thank you to everyone who helped. It is great to have your support."
Their next litter pick will be on Sunday 9th April, meeting at the railway station car park at 10am.

Good people.
Why on earth don't we have a someone from the Police to patrol on a Friday and Saturday night. We pay our taxes but get nothing in return.
Anyway, I will keep doing my bit for Tyler St.
Since we, in the Alderley Edge Partnership, started our regularly monthly litter pick we've come across one or two people like you who do their bit to keep the streets tidy, and it is extremely heartening.
As well as this our group has increased in numbers substantially with people who, like us, want to see our beautiful village looking cared for and litter free.
Today I received some posters which I am going to put around the village reminding people to pick up after their dog. I've been told they glow in the dark!!! Maybe they take photos of the culprits too, you never know.
Not a day goes by that we don't pick up litter, broken glass (and feral pooh).
I would like to echo Mark; no Police, no PCSO, no C.E. persons. No responsibility?
