The Alderley Edge Orchestra and a choir from Alderley Edge School for Girls played to a full house in the Festival Hall on Sunday, 18th December.
The programme of Christmassy music, both traditional and modern included the audience participating in a spirited rendering of "The 12 Days of Christmas", aided by placards held up by the choir.
Helen Hall, from the orchestra, said "This was a new venture for the orchestra and the school and we were all delighted by how well it went. For all of us and the audience it got the Christmas week off to a rousing start."
The concert also raised over £500 for the charity Arts 4 Dementia.
Helen added "Thank you so much to all who attended and helped make the concert such a happy occasion. We hope we will see many of you at our future concerts."
