Electricity North West has confirmed that they have a high voltage fault which is affecting 1832 customers in the Alderley Edge area this morning.
A spokesperson for Electricity North West said "We have a high voltage fault affecting Alderley Edge. This fault is due to damage to our equipment. Our engineers are aware of the problem.
"As soon as a team becomes available they will attend site and start repairs. Our estimated time for restoration is 10:47 hours today. If this changes as the job progresses we will keep you updated.
"We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the interruption to your supply and our engineers will work to restore your power as soon as possible."
