A group of volunteers took to the streets of Alderley Edge to carry out their monthly litter pick on Sunday, 9th October.

One team focussed on the railway station, whilst another spent time cleaning up the park and everyone else concentrated on the road in the village centre.

Chrstine Munro said "We were amazed how much we collected.

"Twelve people attended this time and while doing the work we talked about next year's entry to Britain in Bloom and our plans are really coming together."

She added "We go to the Southport Convention Centre on 28th October to collect our award for this year and we are getting very excited about finding our what we have been awarded."

Congratulations to Steve, Christine and all who turned out to do the litter-picking last weekend. When is the next one planned?

Hello everyone, the next litter pick in Alderley Edge is on Sunday 13th November. We aim to do one every month on the second Sunday.
We meet outside Barclays Bank (all welcome) and we can provide high viz jackets, bin bags, litter pickers, and disposable gloves
We have been doing this for only 4 months but we think we have really made a difference already.
If you know of any places where the litter or weeds are bad let us know and we will concentrate on that next month.
People have told us how much they appreciate what we are doing which is really lovely to hear. We hope to see lots more people helping us as they see what a difference we make.
If you can help just give as much time as you are able to, it is all a bonus, and helps to make our village more attractive.
Thankyou for asking.
