G8Way is a federation of three schools, Knutsford Academy, Poynton High School and Wilmslow High School; all striving to achieve positive outcomes and maximise potential for each and every student.

Wilmslow High School, in partnership with G8way has launched the G8way Stronger Families Network, aimed at working together with a variety of support networks and contacts within the local community to support parents, carers, wider families and students in maximising their potential.

In addition to a free breakfast or evening buffet and a free drink, a number of events are planned focussing on aspirations and future proofing; sticking up for mums; supportive parenting; mindfulness and well-being and sticking up for dads as well as a session for parents and carers of all year groups.

A creche is available for those who cannot arrange childcare. Where buffet and drinks are provided for adults, we will of course provide the same of the children.

Sarah Clarke, G8way Coordinator, said "This is a ground-breaking project, aimed at reducing any barriers that parents, carers or families may have with the generic school system by finding alternative (and very informal) ways in which the school and the wider community can communicate with, help and support every family moving forwards."
