Water supply affected by leak on Windermere Drive

A leak on Windermere Drive which started either overnight Thursday, 9th June, or Friday morning has resulted in some local residents having no water or just a trickle.

At 9.55am today, a spokesperson for United Utilities said "A team of engineers will be requested to attend and should be on site as soon as possible. We're sorry for the trouble this may be causing you and we will get your taps flowing normally again as quickly as we can."

However, at 12.05pm today United Utilities provided an update saying "Our team of engineers have been delayed getting to Windermere Drive. We're sorry for this and will update this message as soon as they arrive to site."

Update at 2pm - A spokesperson for United Utilities said "Our team of engineers have arrived on site and started the repairs. We’re sorry for the trouble this may be causing you and we will get your taps flowing normally again as quickly as we can."

Update at 4:15pm A spokesperson for United Utilities said said "Our team of engineers are still on site at Windermere Drive and it is taking us longer than we expected to complete our repairs.

"We're sorry for the trouble this may be causing you and we're trying to get the repairs done as quickly as we can."
