
Officers from Macclesfield Local policing unit have released an image of a man they would like to speak to in relation to an incident which occurred in Alderley Edge.
At approximately 4.10pm on Friday 22nd April officers were called to reports of a suspicious person in the London Road area of the village.
The victim, a local woman, had been using the cash machine at a bank on London Road when she was approached by a man driving a Black Kia Rio who asked her to get into his car.
The man, dressed in a smart black suit with a walkie talkie, claimed to be from British Intelligence and said he needed the woman to "come with me straight away".
The victim, an Alderley Edge mother of two refused to get into the vehicle and contacted Cheshire Police. At no point were any threats made towards the victim who was left shaken by the incident.
Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 603 of 22/4/16.
