Change of day so more can attend public surgeries

The Cheshire East councillor for Alderley Edge is changing the date of his monthly surgeries to enable more people to attend.

Councillor Craig Browne, who is also a member of Alderley Edge Parish Council. explained "During my first twelve months of office, I have held a monthly surgery on the last Friday of each month. Generally, these have been very successful, with different members of the community coming to see me to discuss a range of issues, often over a cup of coffee.

"I'm aware that Friday mornings may have been difficult for some people, particularly those who usually work during the week; therefore, for the next twelve months I've decided to change this to the last Saturday of the month."

Councillor Browne's next Community Surgery will therefore be on Saturday 28th May, from 10-11am at Aldeli. Residents are invited to go along to speak to our councillor about any community issues that are affecting them, or to just join him for a coffee.

Over the next twelve months, he will also be joined at the surgeries by other members of the Parish Council.
