The Clubhouse offers the key to a luxurious lifestyle

Local celebrities and business people gathered in the village on Thursday, 12th February, for the launch of The Clubhouse.

The Clubhouse is a group of local companies who have come together to offer a selection of luxury products and lifestyle services which will be tailored to client's requirements.

Amongst the invited guests at the launch were The Real Housewives of Cheshire – Dawn Ward, Leanne Brown, Lauren Simon and Tanya Bardsley - along with footballers James Milner, Jamie Vardy, Efe Sodje, Alex Baptiste and Gary Taylor Fletcher, cricketer Sajid Mahmood and Hollyoaks actress Jessica Ellis.

They enjoyed music courtesy of singer songwriter Dan Olsen and local home grown talent Jack Buckley, along with mini pamper and nail sessions, golf putting, Barrecore instruction, canapés and plenty of bubbles.

The Clubhouse is the brainchild of designer Tony Q'aja who created the V Slits at the bottom of the hem on golf trousers, which led to a long list of world tour players using Q'aja - including Darren Clark, Lee Westwood, Phil Mickelson, Matt Kuchar and Graeme McDowell.

Tony Q'aja has also dressed musicians and actors, including Robbie Williams, Ronan Keating, Alice Cooper, Russell Watson, Samuel L Jackson, Morgan Freeman, Vinnie Jones and Billy Murray.

For his latest venture Tony has brought together companies which he feels provide a bespoke service, which is second to none. Products and services offered by the collective group of companies include bespoke mens and women clothing, luxury wedding and occasion stationery, bespoke jewellery, holistic therapies, VIP concierge, golf tuition, luxury villas and Barrecore classes and tuition.

Tony Q'aja relocated to Alderley Edge from London last year having already established a clientele in the area, including many premiership footballers.

Speaking about why he launched The Clubhouse, Tony explained "There was nowhere for VIPs, celebrities and high profile business people to go shopping. At this private club they can come in, grab a drink, chill out and buy the services they want. we provide a one on one service and respect celebrities' privacy."

The Clubhouse, located at 7A London Road, is open to the general public by appointment.

The Clubhouse, which is planning to expand its portfolio, currently consists of Q'aja Couture (bespoke clothing for men), Sistersieta (bespoke clothing for women), David Vivienne (luxury wedding and occasion stationery), Ian Davidson (bespoke jewellery), Holistic Therapies at The Snug, Charlie Bell Management (VIP concierge), Grayson Black (atelier of luxury frills), Director of The Golfworks Academy, Villa Retreats and Barrecore Manchester.

Is the £15 Ikea table behind the lady doing yoga an ironic joke us mere mortals would;t understand, the latest in 'inverse snobbery', or simply Mr Q'aja doing a pretty poor job of practicing what he preaches. Please enlighten me.

The more business the better. Alderley Edge is a thriving village and this concept will add to the auccesful network already in place. I think some skeptics may need to reserve their judgment until they have all the details.

Why, don't they shop at Lidl and Aldi like the rest of us ?

I have a great idea for a "reality TV series". It will be called The Actual People of Alderley Edge". I'm open to suggestions for the cast list but there will be no incomer Z-list "celebrities".
Episode one will be about the allotments and the selective deafness of some local Councillors. I see it as a modern-day version of The Archers, for the wide-screen home-cinema market.
Do you think it will catch on?

Can't see anyone on the list of "exclusive providers" offering fake tan .Has an opportunity been missed or is that a tanker load of the stuff I see parked on the double yellow lines?
What a great business model ; lure in a possy of rich people with more money than sense and egos to match.Tell them that the tats exclusive .Take their money and get rich yourself. This is what is meant by redistribution in Alderley Edge. Need to go now I've hurt myself laughing .
