A local Beavers group is seeking new volunteers to share the running of the group for 6-8 year olds which meets on Friday evenings.
Kelly Windram, who has been running the sessions for the past two and a half years, in addition to leading her son's cubs group, is no longer able to do so due to having a new born and a change of job.
Kelly explained "We do have support from our two fantastic young leaders but as they are due to sit their a levels this year so we may only have them until Easter. We have had a parent step forward to run beavers but we would love it if she could have more support, either as a leader or occasional helper."
The Alderley Edge Beavers Group meets from 5.45pm to 6.45pm on Fridays at the Scout Hall on Talbot Road.
Kelly added "Scouting offers a brilliant support network of training and session ideas we just need people who can volunteer their time. It doesn't have to be every week and could be arranged on a rota basis. Experience is not necessary , just someone who enjoys encouraging the youngest members in the scouting family. Scouting is open to girls and boys. Scouting has a vast history but is updating itself all the time and the new badges released for this year show how modern scouting is."
