Alderley Edge Library held an awards ceremony yesterday evening to celebrate the success of this year's Summer Reading Challenge.
The Summer Reading Challenge encourages children aged 4 to 11 to keep up their reading skills over the summer holiday.
54 local children completed the challenge, to read six or more books of their choice from the library during the holidays.
The children were awarded with a medal and certificate by Councillor Frank Keegan at the library on Thursday, 12th September.
There is a different theme each year and the theme for the 2013 Summer Reading Challenge was Creepy House.
