It was taken from the Edge looking towards Woodford..... I have a photo I took about 3 years ago from the identical spot! If I knew how I would attach to this comment...! I will send it seperately to your e-mail address.

As many of you guessed, the photo was taken inside Henry D Johnstone jewellers.

The piece is called 'A view from the Edge' and was commissioned and installed for them on their opening in 2003.

Henry told me "The inspiration behind it was to have something unique to Alderley Edge and the piece is made by a company in Stockport who have Used old and reclaimed, textured and marbled glass. It was originally our company logo and on all our stationary."

I've added another photo of 'A view from the Edge' above and also a photo sent by Brian Smith which he took about 3 years ago, from the Edge looking towards Woodford.
