A man has been airlifted to hospital after falling down the embankment close to The Edge.
The Hazardous Area Response Team attended the incident this afternoon along with ambulance crews and North West Air Ambulance.
The injured man, who remained conscious, was carried on a stretcher to the waiting air ambulance.
He was then taken to Wythenshawe Hospital where he will be fully assessed.
