Plans for private car park at South Street

A planning application has been submitted to Cheshire East Council to build a private car park on South Street.

Arthur Royle Ltd, of Royles Jaguar in Wilmslow, has applied for a change of use at 34 South Street from vacant land to a private car park.

The proposed site was formerly a domestic garden, which has been vacant since February 2012. A new timber fence has been erected at the boundary to the adjoining house and the site includes a detached brick-built triple garage which will be retained and incorporated into the new proposals.

The proposed car park is intended for private use only. Plans show parking spaces for seventeen vehicles and a new 5500mm wide access at a more central location to South Street.

It will also be largely screened from South Street by timber panel fencing with concrete posts to match with the adjacent fencing.

Access will be controlled by a lockable lifting barrier and telescopic bollards will be installed for overnight security of the site.

The planning application can be viewed on the Cheshire East Council website by searching for reference 12/2024M.
