Following on from being crowned National Wine Retailer of the Year at the Drinks Retailing Awards last month, Corks Out have now picked up the Top Merchants Award for Best Retailer in the UK with three or more shops.
The awards ceremony, hosted at Vinopolis in London, included eight different categories covering all aspects of the wine trade. In addition to picking up the top award, Corks Out was also runner up for Excellent Customer Care, Innovation and Employer of the year.
The judges said "Our winning retailer has made a dramatic impact not only on the wine retail scene in its region, but on the overall wine trade with its drive and innovation. A real breath of fresh air with a hatful of awards already to their name."
The Top Merchants Awards are a new initiative which have been introduced this year to recognise the most outstanding merchants in the UK that demonstrate excellence in key trading disciplines.
Ruth Yates, owner of Corks Out, said "We are so proud to pick up yet another award this month and feel that although our stores are regional the recognition nationally from our customers is fantastic and it proves that our website is fast becoming our 6th store."
