I have recently been consulting with a couple of the larger employers in the village who have expressed an interest in setting up a Business Group based in Alderley Edge. The idea was initially raised in our discussion forum, then picked up on by partners at Pannone who wanted to explore the idea further.
As a result of these initial discussions I have approached a number of Alderley Edge based businesses, whom I have got to know through alderleyedge.com, to canvass the appetite for such a group and the response has been very favourable. We have therefore taken the decision to arrange an inaugural meeting on Wednesday November 24th at Stay Bar and Restaurant.
The format and scope of the group will be open for discussion. In principle, we see that the group would provide an opportunity for informal networking as well as a voice for the business community, which would be given consideration by local decision-making bodies, both at parish and borough level, but of course all ideas are welcome.
The meeting is open to all Alderley Edge based businesses, so if you work in the village and are interested in getting together with other local businesses then please do join us on the 24th. We will meet from 5.30pm, for a 6pm start, in the upstairs room at Stay.
Please do share these details with other Alderley Edge based businesses which you feel would be interested, as I have not been able to contact them all.
