Wilmslow Express moves to Oldham

The Wilmslow Express, along with its sister weekly newspapers and the Manchester Evening News, has moved out of their premises at Scott Place in Manchester to the Trinity Mirror headquarters at Chadderton in Oldham.

This is the second move for the Wilmslow Express in recent times.

MEN Media announced the closure of its local offices, including the Wilmslow Express' base on Water Lane, in March 2009 and only last year its operations were all centralized in Manchester city centre.

However, this move to Oldham has apparently been on the cards since the Guardian Media Group sold its regional media business, including the Wilmslow Express, to Trinity Mirror for a total consideration of £44.8 million in February.

They are retaining a front counter at Piccadilly Gardens in the city, and according to how.do.uk "there are plans for advertising and editorial staff to hot-desk at various locations throughout Greater Manchester."
