Alderley Edge School for Girls seeks to welcome talented pupils to join its exciting Scholarship Programme. New Scholars will join its existing mix of talented pupils which include county sports players, an England rounders captain, pupils on England sports' pathways, Oxbridge applicants, future lawyers and medics as well as highly accomplished musicians, actors and dancers.
The following scholarships are offered; Academic, Sport, Performing Arts, Art and Music, with a Scholarship programme designed to identify and reward excellence and to celebrate exceptional talent. For pupils entering the 11+ examination, which will take place on Wednesday, 4th January, they can apply for a Scholarship in one or more disciplines. The deadline to apply for the 11+ as well as an 11+ Scholarship is Friday 2nd December.
The benefits of becoming an AESG Scholar are great and the school is committed to supporting the development of talent to the highest possible level by providing talent specific tutoring, coaching and a rich programme of activities which will include academic workshops, lectures, university visits, opportunities to take part in regional and national sporting competitions as well as a plethora of opportunities for pupils to showcase their talents to the wider community.
Scholarship applicants will be assessed in the week commencing 16th January. As well as technical assessments in specific disciplines, all candidates will have an interview with Heads of Department and the school's Headmistress. The Academic Scholarship is offered to pupils who perform exceptionally well in the 11+ Examination.

Our extensive scholarship programme will not only provide a platform in which Scholars can showcase their talents but it will provide the opportunity for pupils to develop their talents further with masterclasses, trips, workshops and regional and national competitions."
Application forms for the 11+ Examination and Scholarships can be requested from the school by emailing [email protected]. The deadline for both the 11+ and Scholarship applications is Friday 2nd December.
