Christmas window trail to bring festive sparkle

Local residents have come together to create a festive window display to raise people's spirits during this difficult and challenging year.

Winter wanderland is a self guided trail around the local area every night from tomorrow (December 5th) until Sunday 13th between 4.30 and 8.30pm.

Households have created some very inventive festive window designs which will be visible in the evenings for people to enjoy as they follow the trail. The designs are a stained glass window effect and feature scenes from the Grinch, Frozen, Home alone as well as santa and the nativity.

Nearly 100 houses have taken part in Wilmslow, Styal, Handforth and Alderley Edge.

Organiser Claire Holliday said "As many Christmas events have been cancelled this year, I thought it would lovely to organise a Covid safe event to spread some joy and lift people's spirits as they walk around the local area."

An online map has been produced so everyone can enjoy the trail and looking at each others creations. If you would like to join the fun email [email protected] for a copy of the map.
