The vision of Alderley Park as one of Cheshire's most desirable places to live, work, relax took another step forward today with a planning application for an additional 25 homes submitted to Cheshire East Council.

The new homes are for the Heatherley Wood area of the Park, adjacent to where current developer Bellway is already building 50 four, five and six bedroom detached homes and elegant townhouses.

The Cheshire East Local Plan allows for up to 300 new homes at Alderley Park. A mix of 275 detached homes, mews houses and luxury apartments have already been built or are underway by PH Homes, PJ Livesey and Bellway. The new outline planning application is for the additional 25 properties that would take the site up to its allocation.

The specification of the properties is still to be determined and the application follows the recent announcement that a new gym and sports complex managed by Everybody Sport and Recreation is set to open in November this year and that a new gastropub is also set to open in Spring 2020.

Chris Doherty, managing director of Alderley Park, said: "Cheshire East is a wonderful part of the world to live and work, with superb connections, a parkland setting and lifestyle offer that is unique. The new homes are part of our overall vision for the site which is making Alderley Park one of the most desirable addresses in the North of England."
