On 15th December at approximately 10.15am, children from The Ryleys School Prep department will run through Alderley Edge village and along London Road dressed as elves in support of this year's East Cheshire Hospice Elf Run.

This will be a fantastic spectical with the school inviting parents, residents and shoppers to come along and watch. There will also be the opportunity to donate towards this well-deserved cause.

East Cheshire Hospice is a wonderful charity that has been caring for people in the local area since 1988. They care for adults with life-limiting illnesses for which there is no cure and supports their families.

The hospice is able to provide the exceptional end of life care free because 80% of annual running costs are met by donations from the communities they serve in: Alderley Edge, Buxton, Congleton, High Legh, Knutsford, Macclesfield, Poynton, Wilmslow and the 72 villages in between. It costs £7,500 to provide each day of hospice care and this year, The Ryleys School hopes to make a significant contribution.

Head Teacher, Mrs Julia Langford, said: "This is a marvellous and fun way to raise money for a charity close to our hearts. We hope that you are able to join us and support the pupils as they run through the village."

Children in The Ryleys School Pre-Prep, Pre-School and Nursery will complete their run within the school grounds.
