Luxury store opens in former bank

A luxury online retailer has opened its new flagship store in Alderley Edge today (Friday, 1st December).

The 4,000 sq. ft. Coggles store will sell a selection of luxury menswear, womenswear, homeware and beauty from brands including Isabel Marant, Alexander Wang, Christopher Kane, Margiela, Aesop and Tom Dixon.

Occupying the former Nat West bank, the building's unique features have been repurposed whilst pieces of its history and character have been preserved. A mixture of wood, marble and raw concrete flooring runs throughout, together with the original parquet, whilst two restored vaults will be used as both a shoe and sneaker vault and an accessories area.

Marisa Shutt, General Manager of Coggles said "We chose this location in Alderley Edge for our flagship store due to its unique premises, which offer the perfect platform in which to showcase our global luxury brands and also because it's one of the most prestigious destinations in the North West. The store is absolutely an extension of our online site, Coggles.com; and people can now come in and experience our brand across all touchpoints from our carefully selected Fashion brands, both established and emerging, to Homeware and Beauty, all under one roof.

"This is a really exciting time for the business and we very much look forward to meeting our customers."

The store will also be offering a VIP service for customers, with a private fitting room, as well as a door to door drop off service.

Ah. The old 52 bus terminus of blessed memory. Alderley (D.B.) standing for District Bank. Happy days. A bus every 10min to Manchester.
