A 54-year-old man and a 44-year old female have been charged following a series of retail thefts in Wilmslow and Alderley Edge.
Paul McDonagh, from Droylsden, was sentenced on Wednesday, 19th April and received 16 weeks imprisonment for 6 offences.
Elizabeth Henstock, from Middleton, was also sentenced on 19th April and also received 16 weeks imprisonment for 4 offences.
Sgt O'Driscoll said "This is part of our continuing drive to bring offenders to justice. A substantial amount of property was taken from stores and the sentence reflects this. We are always working with retailers to both prevent and detect crime."
