As previously reported on alderleyedge.com, the culinary landscape of Alderley Edge is set to change changed with the arrival of an Italian seafood restaurant and bar next month.
Blue Lobster will opening at 34 London Road on Saturday 1st April, serving Italian seafood every night until 12pm.
Situated in in the premises previously occupied by Tomfoolery, the 80 plus cover venue will feature a downstairs bar along with a top floor restaurant.
Head Chef Mirko Capamaggi will be bringing a wealth of passion for authentic Italian food, which will be sourced directly from Rome. Served until late every night, the menu boasts a selection of carefully curated seafood dishes such as seafood Paccheri and tuna fillet along with lobster, oysters and traditional seafood antipasti.
The restaurant will also feature the area's first dedicated 'Franciacorta' bar, made near the fashion mecca of Milan in Lombardy, Franciacorta was Italy's first wine to be produced in the classic "Champagne" method. An evolution of Prosecco, this sparkling tipple is celebrated for its richness and complexity and Blue Lobster will be one of a few venues in the area to offer the drink.
Blue Lobster is the brainchild of Andrea Zacchino and Nino Caruso, who are founders of popular wine cafe chain Veeno, which was set up in 2013 and now has 11 branches in the UK.
Owner Andrea Zacchino said: "Blue Lobster is all about traditional Italian ambience and authenticity and so everything from the sparkling wine to the Chef has been sourced directly from Italy. This is also why we extended the dining hours to facilitate a more relaxed, Mediterranean dining culture.
"Although Blue Lobster is a new venture, it will capitalise on our extensive management experience and combined with the experience of our acclaimed Head Chef and consultants, we are satisfied we can establish Blue Lobster as Alderley Edge's premium seafood restaurant of choice."

Here's what readers have had to say so far. Why not add your thoughts below.
Empty premises vacated by failed ventures are best filled with those which have a good chance of success - regardless of misty eyed reminiscing of the days of local traders.
I think this restaurant will succeed and I'm looking forward to helping it do so!
I have advised them that they will need to seek retrospective planning permission for the decking area, as the previous application (15/2276M) was for temporary (stackable) seating only.
Having said this, the area of encroachment onto the footpath is less than the area approved under the previous application, so there will be adequate clearance between the edge of the new decking and the concrete planter.
Some consideration was previously given to moving the planter; however, it was felt that the planter acts as a useful deterrent to vehicles mounting the kerb.
Kind regards,
Craig
