
Firefighters spent over two hours dealing with a house fire in Alderley Edge on Tuesday, 14th February.
Fire engines from Wilmslow, Alsager and Macclesfield were called to a report of a house fire on Knutsford Road just before 9pm.
When they arrived crews found that the house was filled with smoke which was coming from a fire on the ground floor.
Firefighters used four breathing apparatus and a positive pressure ventilation unit to deal with the incident.
One man, suffering smoke inhalation, was handed over to the care of awaiting ambulance personnel.
