Speaking with Jeremy Roberts, Commercial Director of Living Ventures, he said he was delighted to confirm to alderleyedge.com that No15 Wine Bar has been acquired by Living Ventures, the owners of Gusto Restaurant and Bar, the Grill on the Alley and Suburbia.

As yet Living Ventures have no firm plans regarding No.15 but Jeremy did tell us “The company intends to re open the site in the summer of next year, 2010.”

"We are looking to create an operation that will be a positive addition to Alderley Edge village, that will be as much loved by the locals as No.15 was. We have been committed to village life with "Gusto" for a number of years now and will be maintaining that endeavor with the new and improved No.15." said Tim Bacon, Managing Director.

The Knutsford based company spent 2007/8 converting 12 Est Est Est restaurants in to Gusto and Blackhouse Grills. According to recently filed accounts the rebranding exercise has proved a success with sales rising by 13% to £22.3m in the last financial year.

Tim Bacon and Jeremy Roberts set up a new business in August called Living Ventures Management Ltd, which will launch three new bar and restaurant concepts. The first of which is the recently opened Suburbia in Hale, formerly the One Six One Club. Two new venues (a bar serving food and an upmarket restaurant/club) will also be opening in Spinningfields Manchester next year.

So No.15 looks like it could become one of the three new concepts. Whether it’s turned in to a bar, an upmarket restaurant or even a club, one thing’s for sure the people behind it have an impressive track record.
