Thumbs up for big school!

With the summer holidays behind us, last week marked a big step for hundreds of little ones across Alderley Edge and Wilmslow, and their parents, as they embarked on a new adventure with their first day at school.

As the new term began little ones set off in their new uniforms and shiny shoes to be greeted by their new teachers.

Miss Platt, the Class Teacher at Alderley Edge Community Primary School said "Children at Alderley Edge Community Primary school have had an excellent start during their first week at school, making new friends and learning the new routines. All of the children have settled brilliantly and have had big smiles at the start and end of each day - we are certainly looking forward to a great year ahead!"

Mrs Claire Hamilton, Headteacher at The Ryleys said "Our Reception children have all settled in extremely well into their new routines and have enjoyed exploring and learning within their classrooms. We also welcome several new children to Reception and it's been a delight to see how well they have adjusted to The Ryleys."

Mrs Bathurst, Reception teacher at AESG said "Mrs Jeys, our new Headmistress, wasn't the only new girl this week! Our Reception girls have settled into school beautifully and have thoroughly enjoyed their introduction to Big School."
