Unfortunately Alderley Edge Community Primary School has had to cancel their annual Bonfire and Firework Display which was scheduled to take place tomorrow, Saturday 2nd November.

The cancellation is due to the high winds which are forecast for tomorrow night, which would mean the firework company would be unable to detonate the fireworks.

Sue Pilkington explained "Everyone is very disappointed as a lot of hard work has already gone into the event but the safety of all concerned is our priority. We will be hosting the event again next year."

See our events calendar for details of the Wilmslow Round Table Bonfire and Fireworks and Alderley Edge Cricket Club Firework Display.

Sorry to hear this but probably best if the weather forecast is right. Hope they're able to organise it again soon, as I know lots of little ones (and not so little!) we're looking forward to it.
