Challenge: Where in Alderley Edge was this photo taken?

Now that our new responsive version of alderleyedge.com has launched, without many hiccups, I am looking to introduce some new features to broaden our coverage.

One of these is a fun feature challenging our readers to identify where in the village particular photos were taken.

The first of which is published above.

Do you know where these photos was taken? If so, please use the comment box below to provide your answer.

We will hold off publishing any comments for 24 hours so we don't give the game away.

If you have any suggestions for this feature, or photographs of your own, please do email them to me at [email protected].

I can't tell exactly which building it is on but suspect it is the Botanist. It is either just on or behind London Road/Clifton St, looking towards Barrington House (Trafford Rd/Heyes Lane junction) and along the line of Tyler St.

What a find! They are lovely. I can see Babbington House in the background so somewhere at the back of London Road maybe - above the Botanist? I wonder what the history is behind them?

I've now added an extra couple of photos.

As several of our readers identified these two heads are on top of The Botanist.

Apparently they were put there 4/5 years ago by a builder for no particular reason, other than because they looked nice.
