Pownall Hall School is a preparatory school for boys and girls, aged 2-11, in the heart of Wilmslow, where 'every day is an open day' and this continues, despite these unusual times. At Pownall, our academic provision is just one of our areas of excellence. The curriculum is broad and deep, tailored to meet the individual needs of every child. It is designed to trigger, enhance and nurture children's love of learning. Our specialist subjects are taught by specialist teachers, who have an intrinsic passion for their subject. This passion is passed on to the children in lively and creative lessons.
We also embrace the richness the outdoors offers to us; our stunning 8 acre site is the perfect setting for your child to discover who they are. In our beautiful, warm and welcoming 'Hygge' inspired Nursery and Early Years setting, our staff spend long periods of time outdoors with your child, making the most of the natural and changing environment, experiencing 'awe and wonder' moments together. A highly stimulating, 'in the moment planning' approach develops deep curiosity which truly values the children's choices, creating confident and independent learners.
Throughout the years, we build on this foundation, supporting, stretching and challenging, all the way to Form 6 and beyond. Every achievement and success is celebrated, no matter how small, and in doing so, we develop confident, well rounded, appreciative and happy children who love to learn.
