I see Wilmslow Artisan Market is the same day as the Alderley May Fair. A masterpiece of planning and communication!

And:
The Tatton Park Country Show
From Saturday 16 May 2015 to Sunday 17 May 2015

A great family-oriented Country show with something for everyone - crafts, gifts, demonstrations and food and drink. Entertainment includes jousting, birds of prey, terrier racing and dog skills.

This is the 4th year we have organised the Alderley Edge May Fair. Unfortunately when the Artisan Market started in Wilmslow they chose to run the market on the 3rd Saturday of each month, which in May clashes with the May Fair.  I don’t think either event suffers really, as most people attend both and the bonus is there is no charge for entry to either. However the entry charge to the Tatton Park Country Show is Adults £7.50, Concessions £6, Children (5-16) £3, Family (2 adults and 3 children) £19.

Christine - I must apologise if my post sounded like a criticism of your fantastic organisational skills.  Not my intention, I assure you.  On the contrary, I am extremely impressed by the lineup of events and activities we are looking forward to on Friday/Saturday.  It was a (rather poorly worded!) expression of disappointment that I cannot attend both local events.

If you managed to get to the May Fair yesterday I hope you enjoyed it. The sun shone, although it was a bit chilly, but there were lots of smiles on peoples faces and even requests that we should carry on into the evening.
