Agreed Vin, alas getting a British person out of their car is as difficult as taking a gun off an American. People get very bent out of shape at the merest suggestion of using alternative forms of transport.

So I can’t see their demise any time soon.

Cars alive and flourishing every morning and afternoon outside Ryleys School. They thrive on the pavement, they thrive on the grass verge, they thrive blocking the pull in outside the school, they thrive on the yellow hatched (no parking areas) they thrive on the white ‘H’ areas across drives. They thrive so much it’s a surprise they don’t attract more attention from the PCSO or traffic police. I fear it will take an accident, god forbid involving a child to get it sorted.
