The entrance to the park from Redesmere is a tad dull.
I asked the Parks’ Officers (oops ‘ansa’) for help.
If you look at the grass on the right hand side of the approach, there are lines in the grass. Not the work of vandals. The Officers cut into the turf, rolled it back, planted Daff. bulbs and then put the turf back.
With tongue in cheek I had asked for lots of bulbs. Cor Blimey, they’ve planted 5,000 bulbs!
My thanks to the Officers involved, Doug. Christie & Marianne Hodgkinson (and antone else I may have missed out).

We are now in ‘National Tree Week’. Yesterday we planted a Flowing Cherry Tree (approx. 12’ high) and a Beech sapling
(approx. 5’ high), in the park.
The Cherry was donated and planted by Bartletts, who also set up a stand outside ‘Waitrose’ from which they gave away approx. 100 Oak seedlings. to passing shoppers.
