There are two dead trees in the park and the tree overhanging one of the tennis courts makes an overhead smash a life-threaening risk!
The Park Dept. is now a Cheshire East owned limited company called ‘ansa’.
An Officer of ansa (Stuart Barber) has undertaken to remove the two dead trees; one is gone already, as he simply flexed his biceps and pulled it from the ground!. The other will be cut down shortly and the overhanging branches are to be raised to a height of 4 metres.
There is more clearing work and bulb planting to come; hopefully soon.

FYI.
The chaps from ‘ansa’ (used to be CEC Parks Dept.) came yesterday, to the Park. They ‘lifted’ the trees overhanging the tennis courts: so those of you using the court next to the railway lines can now do so without discombobulating yourselves!. They also removed a dead tree.
Two days ago a different group came and chopped back the various hedges within the park.
Yet a third group came and cut back the hedge between the park car parking and Rileys Lane.
Been a busy old week eh? Hope you approve.

November 29th sees the start of ‘National Tree Week’.
All being well, there will be a 20 foot Flowering Japanese Cherry (aka Tibetan Cherry) planted along with a 4 foot Beech sapling, in the Park.
