Info 38 London rd , formaly Forbouys

Hi, due to the fact I no longer live in the area, im askin for a bit of local knowledge to anyone that could please help. 38 London rd which was what used to be a Fourbouys news agents, before it moved across the road, it was run by my parents bk in about 1994 till about 1999, I lived with them in the flat above the shop and was about 4 at the time when we moved there, can anyone tell me if it is still a flat or it is now offices as I have read something online that may suggest such, or if anyone has an idea who lives there now, and or any significant history. This is for personal reasons and I will be so greatful for any replies.

No. 38 was until recently a wedding shop, selling up-marked wedding dresses etc. As of a few days ago, that business left and the shop is currently being re-fitted. Rumour has it that a ‘Cafe Nero’ has sought planning permission to open there. There are no signs etc above the shop to indicate whether it is a flat or whatever.

Thanks Duncan, its the flat above the store that im more interested in, other the the store its self, im tryin to track down the anyone who has lived in the flat.

The upstairs of the wedding shop was used as additional dress storage/ sewing rooms so I don’t think it’s been lived in in a while but used as part of the shop - if that helps?
