Stephen Holding	Sad to hear of the passing of this great sports commentator, surely one of Alderley’s most famous sons.

John Parsons	Sorry to learn of the death of David Coleman 87 years old. David was born in Alderley Edge in Carlisle Street. He spent his earlier life after leaving school reporting on sport in a local newspaper. (County Express). He was a member of Alderley Union Club along with his father who I knew personally. Later he was offered a job with the BBC presenting Grandstand and was a stalwart in the field of sport. I met him a couple of times when he visited Alderley. A great sporting legend. R.I.P.
