I’ve just been for a mooch around the park and village with my dog (5:30am)
Lovely time of day!
All the litter bins on the park and in the village and surrounding areas are half emptied all over the place,I think the local residents to blame for this are foxes, squirrels or our vast population of jackdaws.
Before anyone chips in i know they don’t smoke and litter the pavements outside the bars!!

Hi Terry,
the park bins are emptied twice a week…Monday & Friday.
Fox/Squirrel/birds do not drag empty wine bottles into the middle of the bowling green; that’s done by pigs!
Not to mention the parents who smile happily as their children drop rubbish all over the place.
As a dog walker, who picks up some of all this rubbish every day, might I suggest watch towers manned by men with sniper rifles!

Hi Duncan,
Good points, the council empty the bins twice a week. The squirrels are more efficient they do it every morning, about 5am.

Hi Terry,
as you may have guessed from the piled up litter, the bin-emptiers missed us on Monday…I emailed the Parks Officers yesterday (Tuesday) p.m….their chaps came today (Wednesday) in the a.m. and cleared up thoroughly…good work C.E. Parks Dept.

Now if we can only catch the littering-pigs, as they fly in !
