Please can someone PC or PCSO sort out the illegal parking on Heyes Lane nr Moss Road , also can something be done about Trafford Road between Chapel Lane and Macc road , an accident waiting to happen ...

I note that Clifton Street with its resident parking during the day is now often empty during day , but of course full of visitors in the evening , am wondering if the signs are back to front

Hi Vin, like you i have complained frequently on this web site re Heyes Lane parking where heading towards Alderly Village you have to go round the bends on the wrong side of the road, and i agree Trafford Road from Macclesfield Rd to Chapel Rd cross roads is another very dangerous spot where you have to go entirely on the wrong side of the road heading down the hill.It seems to me that like Congleton Rd nothing will be done until God forbid   there is a serious accident.I do not think any of our councilors even drive on those roads, let alone walk along them .Yet in the days when Alderley Edge had its own UDC it was a frequent sight to see councilors walking around checking the roads for damage and bad parking. The same can be said of the dangerous condition of the Village footpaths.

Hi Graham , totally agree , took photos today on Heyes Lane of van parked facing wrong way , on bend , on double yellow , on pavement , what more do they need to do , actually cause a accident .... how does this get sorted. AEPC seem to have other interests ....

There is little point in creating new parking spaces , if its deemed ok to park anywhere

The PCSO was in action today, on Lynton Lane, booking the cars that were parked partly on the pavement.

hi duncan ,with all due respect i have to say driving round blind bends on Trafford Rd and Heyes Lane is by far more dangerous ,although i agree parking on footpaths is disgusting but then they park partially on footpath on Congleton Rd.,and nothing is done to stop it.

We went to a funeral at St Barts on Monday. Parked at the roadside opposite the church before the service, and afterwards moved the car within the time limit. Noticed other cars that were there when we parked and had over-run the time allowance had been ticketed.

If they can do it in Wilmslow, why not Alderley?

Hi Graham…yes I agree…parking/highways etc. is a matter for Cheshire East…yes the parish councillors do nag on…hence the speed camera and the PCSO booking (you pay half the PCSO’s salary and so we can get him involved more than we can the police!). May I suggest that if C.E. are deemed to be, in your opinion, insufficiently active, get on to your local M.P. (I’ve always found that ‘sicking’ George’s mob onto people/offices gets them jumping !).
