Bright lights in Over Alderley

Does anyone know whats going on on The Edge.
I have just come over the top road past The Wizard and there are several globe shaped bright lights dotted around the woods and lots of vehicles parked in car park.
Whats going on?

Hi Fiona, the statics have been there for a week and they have been filming for what I do not know but thank goodness we have not had any nice weather over the weekend or we would have had the overspill of cars on the main road! Lovely thing is they did not need the bright lights tonight with this glorious moon!

Not forgetting Jupiter, just next door to the moon at the moment..

I still don’t understand what this was. What is or are ‘the statics’?

Sorry Vince, it’s my way of saying static mobile vehicles, ie. actors quarters, offices, canteens etc to accomodate the film crew. Nobody still knows what it was that they were filming but no doubt we will be seeing it on our TV screen soon! Maybe those at the Wizard of The Edge may be able to shed some light onto it? as it was in their back yard.
