I have just moved here from a rural village in nottinghamshire, my word it is different! Starting to think my Victoria beckham hair style maybe causing more than a few sideward glances (i now realise why) and so do the people staring as they get close up and realise i am more likely Vicky pollard.

My children go to Alderley edge primary and i am delighted with it, all in all the place is fab and i cannnot wait to explore some more!

Welcome Lisa,

Alderley is a really nice place to live with a good community spirit.

Hi Lisa,
Welcome. Enjoy your exploring! We moved here 2 years ago and haven’t looked back.

We also moved to the area recently from Hale and have to say we are absolutely loving it. Whereas in Hale people would not say Good Morning and would avert their eyes rather than engage with each other on the street, I have found people here very friendly. New neighbours have called to say hello and we even got new house cards from some of them. The air is so much cleaner out here too - even with the trail of cars which pass our door from dawn til dusk ....and beyond. Roll on the by-pass and hopefully Heyes Lane will stop being a rat run and become another leafy backwater of this lovely village.
